Hattie Rose Pacheco
Hattie is a psychotherapist who works with individuals ages 17 and older at a private practice in Reykjavík. Prior to her current role, she worked as a clinical therapist in a community mental health center in the United States, and has extensive experience working with a diverse range of adult individuals.
Hattie earned her master’s degree in psychology from Springfield College in Massachusetts, USA. That degree was inclusive of art therapy. She is a registered art therapist (ATR) through the Art Therapy Credentials Board in the United States of America, and an active member of the Icelandic Art Therapy Association.
Hattie utilizes a holistic, and client centered approach to meet clients where they are at. Her work style is mostly eclectic as she likes to use a combination of different approaches like mindfulness practices, CBT, ACT, and will include art therapy and therapeutic art at times. The connection of mind, body, and spirit, is the key element
to the way she works.
